pillow case baby Stars Can’t Shine….Mixed Media Canvas personalised birthday gifts

“;Stars can’;t shine without darkness”;, is a great quote turned into a fabulous project by crew member, Lynne Forsythe. She brought these words to life through canvas, inks, paints and various supplies. Its a perfect piece for this gloomypillow case baby, cold time of year, where we are all looking forward to longer days filled with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. The stars will be shining bright at night at?backyard parties, romantic dinners and camping getaways. This is a perfect project to ring in the new season. Hi Canvas Corp FansLynne Forsythe herewith a mixed media canvas I created.

unique gifts for men

I let my creative juices have there wayand let the fun begin!!

I pulled out a jar ofPerfect Paints ~ Polishing Plaster ~ Sunwashed Clay, and?after working the plaster I applied it through aUmWowSTUDIOS ~ Handwriting Stencilwith a palette knife.

While the medium was still wet I??spritz my canvaswith various Tattered Angel’;s Glimmer MistCrushed ShellsGolden OrangeRoll Top DeskPumpkin Spice

While I was patiently waiting for everything to dry,

I pulled out some Cattails Chippies fromUmWowSTUDIOS ~ ?Floral Set.With a round brush I appliedTattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glam ~ Lime Cordialto the stems and leavesand dabbed on Sunwashed Clay with my fingeronto the cattails.

When dry, I inked the Cattails withRanger’;s?Archival Ink.

My project needed a bit more foliageso I pulled out 2 pieces?from theUmWowSTUDIOS ~ Leaf Stems set.I chose?a combo ofTattered Angels ~ Glimmer Glaze ~ Sea Kelpand Glimmer Glam ~ Lime Cordialto paint the chippies.

When my canvas was “;pretty much”; dry,I applied a rough layer of Gesso.

I then spritzedUmWowSTUDIOS ~ Distressed Harlequin Backgroundwith various colors of Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist. When dry, I adhered it to my canvas withRanger’;s Multi Medium ~ Matteand?I sewed a piece of chicken wire, over top the chippie, onto ?my canvas.

I then complied my canvas…;.I love how the Petaloo blooms justpop off the canvas.

I love all the different textural elements to my canvas.

Now if you are familiar with my work, you will knowI like my pieces to say something.

I used one ofYvonne Blair Designs/Impression Obsession stamps.I decided to try something differentso I stamped onto a pieceof dictionary paper,I LIKE the look!I then mounted my stamped image ontoa stray piece ofCanvas Corp Brands ~ E Flute ~ Black.
