After moving into her new home, Brittany had a bunch of DIY projects on her list.? She decided to recently tackle the entryway.? Here is what it looked like before.

A beautiful space but if you’;ve been reading Brittany’;s blog then you already know this doesn’;t fit her passion for color and pattern. The first thing that Brittany did was paint it Pageant Green by Behr.

After it was a beautiful minty huetoddler pillow cases, Brittany was ready to enhance it with a geometric pattern.? She chose the Symmetry Allover Stencil.

Brittany used painter’;s tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern.? She painted the contemporary pattern using several craft paint colors.? If you’;re trying to recreate this project, she used Anita’s Metallic Craft Paint in Classic Gold, Bronze, and White.? She also used FolkArt Acrylic Paint in Spun Sugar.

After she painted one section, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition it to stencil a new section.? She did this until the pattern was complete on the entryway wall.

Once the entire wall was stenciled, Brittany added a gorgeous hot pink accent chair, a book shelf, and some carefully chosen decor elements.? Are you ready to see how her stenciled accent wall turned out?

Brittany commented this on her blog, “;Of course I had to get a bit colorful, but I LOVE the finished product and I challenge you to try this at home and share it with me! ([email ;protected]”;? We love the idea of a stencil challenge!

Love this look? Here’;s How to Get It!

Can’t get enough stencil fun?

Apparently, the steely-eyed, smoldering Swede just vanted to be alone with needle and thread. Last month,Julien's in Beverly Hills held a huge auction of Greta Garbo's estate. I decided to peruse the catalog online, expecting to see only the finest deco jewelry, crystal and trunks of never-before-unearthed couture to be offered. What a moving surprise to see her jumbled sewing stash. This auction included the most personal effects of this supremely private person (a monogrammed baby bracelet, canceled passports, dolls, even grocery lists).

I couldn’t hold my excitement as my friend was back from America after five big years. The joy of receiving him at the airport and giving him a big bear hug was incredible that cannot be measured in words. Meeting him after such a long time reminded me how we both were inseparable during our school and college days. We always ate our lunch together, worked on our projects together and were partners-in-crime in all the mischief.

Create these fun gem embossed coasters in less than an hour with this simple tutorial! I believe you can never have enough coasters – I like making different sets that I can interchange. This trendy gem embossed coaster idea is so fun to make and so easy too. I love the copper effect, although I think silver or gold would look good as well. Want to know how I made them? Of course you do – so read on to find out how!
